These are real Colorado snowflakes, taken in the environment and the landscape in which they fell to the earth.
I'm often told that I must have a spectacular, huge, expensive lens . . . well . . . not exactly. My father gave me this lens about 30 years ago. It's pre-digital, tiny, beat up and near its end. It's macro photography, and I've been exploring and capturing the tiny unseen world for 30 years now.
